Privacy Policy

Wilt & Wade is an independent editorial house. This policy describes the information we hold when you use this website, why we hold it, and what you can ask us to do with it.

It covers the whole site: the book pages and the library, The Marginalia, The Foundation, the Publish Ready guide, the workbooks, the newsletter, and anything you send us directly.

• ·Account details. When you create an account or sign in, we receive your name and email address. Sign-in is handled by our application platform, so we never see or store your password. When you sign in with Google, we receive the name and email address that Google shares for sign-in.
• ·Email signups. If you unlock a free Foundation lesson or join the newsletter, we keep the first name and email address you entered on that form.
• ·Purchase records. When you buy Publish Ready, we keep a record of what you bought, the amount, the date, and the status of the purchase. Payment itself is processed by Stripe, and your card details go to Stripe rather than to us.
• ·Messages. If you write to us, we keep your message and your email address so we can reply.
• ·Download requests. When you request a workbook, that request is recorded against your account so we can confirm your access.
• ·Technical records. Our hosting platform keeps standard server records such as IP address, browser, device, and the pages requested, for security and to understand how the site is used. Your browser also keeps a small amount of information so the site can keep you signed in and remember a free lesson unlock.

• ·To deliver the guide, the workbooks, and the pages you ask for.
• ·To confirm a purchase and keep access open to the parts it unlocked.
• ·To send the emails you asked for.
• ·To answer your messages.
• ·To keep accounting and tax records, and to prevent misuse of the site.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not run advertising networks on this site or sell audience data to anyone.

We do not add people to the email list who did not ask to be there, and every email we send includes a way to leave.

A small number of services make this site work. Each one receives the request your browser makes to it, along with the technical information any web request carries.

• ·Stripe processes payments and holds your payment details under its own privacy policy.
• ·Base44 provides the hosting, database, accounts, email delivery, and private file storage for this site.
• ·Google Fonts delivers the typefaces used here.
• ·Unsplash delivers some of the photography used here.

Workbook files are stored privately. There is no public web address for them. When you request a download, the site creates a short-lived link for your account, and that link expires within minutes.

Access to the paid parts of the guide follows your purchase record. A refunded purchase closes that access.

Please keep your sign-in details to yourself. A shared account lets someone else read material that a purchase covers.

This site is written for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

• ·Leave the email list at any time using the link in any email we send.
• ·Update your name and account details on the Account page.
• ·Ask us what we hold about you, and we will tell you.
• ·Ask us to delete your account and the personal information we hold. We will do it, apart from the records we are required to keep for tax and accounting.

Access to the site’s data is limited to those who need it, paid files are stored privately rather than on an open server, and payment details are handled by Stripe. No system is beyond risk, and if a breach ever affects your information, we will tell you.

If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. If a change affects how we handle your information in a meaningful way, we will note it on this page.
